Benefits of “Opening the Chest”
The benefits of this movement are similar to those of Commence covered previously. Adding to that, Opening the Chest will result in:
- The strengthening of that mind-body connection so participants are more aware of expansion and release, particularly in the wrists.
- Deeper more controlled breathing is initiated in two stages.
- Coordinating the breathing with the wrist and arm movement.
- Quietening the mind, relaxing the body, and improving mental focus
- Relieve anxiety and tension in the musculoskeletal system.
Opening the Chest is believed to assist in reducing depression. This is achieved by opening the Heart channel and Lung channel. Two areas most affected by grief and depression.
